Vogue has captured fashion history since 1932 through its elite designer lines. The Couturier Design series (1932–1976) and the Paris Original series (1949–2007) gave home sewers access to icons like Dior, Givenchy, Balenciaga, and McQueen. The Americana line (1967-1998) showcased stars like Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Furstenberg, Blass, Quant, Muir, Beene, and Galanos. Today, the Vogue Vintage line (1998–present) keeps this history alive by reissuing original patterns from the 1930s through the 1980s.
